Sharon's first love has been of animals wild and domestic ever since her family took in a Pomeranian named "Lucy" from a friend who had been sick often and would leave the dog with them. When the owner died, Sharon and her family had fallen in love with this little dog who never knew how to bark and "guard the house" until a short time later. That was forty some years ago.

The love of animals has not diminished over the years; rescuing box and snapping turtles from getting killed on the road, rescuing an opossum from a neighbor's dog, caring for and releasing robins, and even being brave enough to hold a skunk that still has its scent sack intact. Now that's brave!

Balloo is  a sable sheltie.   He came as an 8 week old puppy in 2008.  He loves to do  and go to agility trials and loves to "play" with his mom.

Mowgli is a Merle, tan and white Collie who was adopted from a rescue 2011.  He  loves people and enjoys visiting everybody whenever he can.  He is a big dog, but would like to be on laps and get lots of attention;  a sweet and loving dog.

The youngest is Hart, a tri-color sheltie who I got in 2016.  She loves to jump and run and play with her big brother, Mowgli and is already doing agility.  She is  still learning but everything is fun and she should do well.  Hart loves children and people in general.

Sharon started her business in 1994. Since then, Canines N' Cats Pet Sitting Service has been steadily growing each year, with continuing success in customer satisfaction. She joined Pet Sitters International (PSI) in 1995. PSI offers conferences where she goes to network and gets continuing education on the pet sitting industry.

I hope you will enjoy my site and thank you for visiting. Come again.

"Visiting a [shelter] is a grueling experience - all those desperate creatures clamouring for attention. For the tender-hearted it is not hard to come away with a whole pack."
